Diversification of New Age Majors

The discussions around here at larger-than-department meetings usually focus on how to engage and serve the modern student in the University classroom.

They are calling the current generation the "millennial" generation and trying to articulate what they want, need, and expect (as well as the darker side of what they think they want, need and expect).

Here’s a great example of the new types of majors that we should be creating in order to provide modern students what they want.

Also, generational sociologists are likening this millenial generation to the “Best Generation”–there is supposed to be some cataclysm with which this generation will have to deal. And our politicians are working hard to get that going.
