There’s a new exhibit on Buckminster Fuller at the Whitney opening next week – should be fascinating as his archive at Stanford has been "in process" for far, far too long. I guess the relatives just dumped everything on the archivists, and I bet it’s a confusing smatter of stuff.
I can’t wait to go check out Bucky’s stuff but also to see what written/lexical items are on display. Fuller is a great example of the power of rhetorical framing and description – he is a master rhetorician, and not many consider that aspect of his career. This New York Times Article on the exhibit is a nice tease as to the rhetorical dimensions that might be on display for the saavy museum-goer.
