But Karl Rove is a brilliant strategist and thinker. I admire what he was able to do in 2000 and 2004. Today in the Wall Street Journal he has a really well thought out and amazing article about the election. Why can’t the democrats get a mercenary like this guy?

His argumentation is superb and gives some insight into the wellsprings for his strategic thought. Note how he relies on the combination of poll results along-side rhetorical moments to prove effective strategy in campaigns. I find that very insightful.
